Reimbursement rates for mental health treatments vary depending on the type of treatment, the insurance company, and the location of the provider. In general, nurse practitioners (NPs) receive lower reimbursement rates than other providers, such as psychiatrists and psychologists. This is because NPs are not considered to be specialists in mental health.<\/p>\n
