Assessment Description Select one multinational corporation operating in at least three countries. Examine how the company formulates and implements strategy in a global environment. High Distinction (85%+): Exceptional depth, insightful analysis, flawless application of theory, and seamless integration of examples. Distinction (75–84%): Strong understanding with clear critical insight and minor presentation issues. Credit (65–74%): Adequate coverage with some analysis but limited depth or originality. Pass (50–64%): Basic description with minimal critical evaluation. Fail (<50%): Insufficient understanding or major omissions.

Companies that succeed in global markets rely on robust strategy formulation processes. Porter’s Five Forces model helps identify competitive pressures and guide decisions. According to Teece (2018), dynamic capabilities enable firms to integrate, build, and reconfigure internal and external competences to address rapidly changing environments. Leaders must align organisational structure with the chosen strategy. Effective communication ensures that all employees understand their roles in implementation.
