Grading Rubric/Marking Criteria
- Problem Identification and PICOT Question (20%): Clear, relevant issue with well-formulated PICOT.
- Literature Review and Appraisal (30%): Thorough search, critical analysis of evidence strength and applicability.
- Proposed Intervention and Implementation Plan (25%): Feasible, evidence-supported plan with barriers addressed.
- Evaluation and Ethical Considerations (15%): Robust outcome measures and ethical discussion.
- Writing and APA Format (10%): Clarity, organization, grammar, and adherence to APA.
Nurses identified high rates of patient falls in the elderly unit, leading to injuries. Implementing hourly rounding protocols reduced falls by 25% in pilot studies. Evidence from randomized trials supports this as a low-cost intervention improving safety.
