Students should learn how to communicate in the healthcare system in the 21st Century. The purpose is to ensure students learn how to use complex systems to share information.<br \/>\nStudents will learn the selection of words in verbal and written communication. The selection is based on the intended message and the risk of misinterpretation. Learners should understand the risks of misunderstanding and how it can trigger medical errors.<br \/>\nThe learning should comprise the ability to provide constructive feedback. Nurses provide feedback to other nurses or physicians. Feedback can impact the quality of care since it affects the ability to build rapport. One of the evaluation methods is class participation. Learners\u2019 participation in class will comprise 10 percent of the entire grading. Students\u2019 participation will help them to learn communication skills and ask questions. The second method will be weekly tests on various modules. The grading will comprise 30 percent of the grading. Weekly tests will comprise class discussions and essays. The learning will use a standard rubric. Students will form groups of at least four to six people. The groups will enable the students to form discussion groups. The discussion groups will accomplish a project in cumulative steps. Each group will select a topic but seek approval from the professor.<br \/>\nThe evaluation will comprise two major tests, including the midterm exam and the end-of-term exam. The midterm exam will comprise 50 multiple choice questions on different modules.
