\n3.1 Task
\nTask 1: 10-minute Presentation + 5-minute Q&A (1,500 words equivalent)
\n1 The grade is provisional until confirmed by the relevant assessment board(s). Your work will be marked in
\npercentages. This is considered to deliver the most accurate and fair outcomes for students. Each assessment
\nthat you undertake will be assessed using the common grading system. Information about the grading system can
\nbe found in your Student Handbook, Section 13.

\nTask 1:
\nThe objective of the portfolio (4,000 words equivalent) is to present different views on the proposed
\ntheme.
\n\u2022 Students are supposed to identify at least two \u201cCritical Issues in the
\nAutomotive and transportation industry that Affect International Businesses
\nin terms of Globalisation\u201d. These can cover aspects such as changes in consumer
\nbehaviour, trade agreements and free circulation of goods and services, political
\nregimes and international legislation, etc.
\n\u2022 This should be presented on a PowerPoint poster (see instructions\/suggestions on
\nhow to produce a poster that is available on canvas).
\n\u2022 You should also provide some valid examples to illustrate your identified issues.
\n\u2022 Each student will present his\/her poster (10 minutes) followed by a Q&A (5
\nminutes).
\n\u2022 Poster presentations should be 1,500 words equivalent.
\nTask 2:
\n\u2022 Upon conclusion of the presentation, students will submit a reflective account (2,500
\nwords) that reflects the work presented and the issues discussed and highlighted
\nduring the research and production of the poster presentation.
\nThis assessment carries 60% of the total weighting of the module. The assessment criteria used for
\nawarding marks on this assessment are presented below:

\n3.2 Submission requirements
\nYou must submit your assignment by using the Turnitin gateway in the module\u2019s Canvas site.

\n3.2.1 Word Limits and Penalties for Excess Word Count
\nAll written assignments include clear guidance on the maximum amount that should be written in order
\nto address the requirements of the assessment task (a \u2018word limit\u2019).
\nIf the submission exceeds the word limit by more than 10%, the submission will only be marked up to
\nand including the additional 10%. Anything over this will not be included in the final grade for the
\nitem of assessment.
\nAbstracts, citations in footnotes, reference lists, bibliographies and appendices are excluded from any
\nword limit requirements.
\nIn-text citations, embedded quotations, and all headings and titles are included in the word limit.
\nWhere a submission is notably under the word limit, the full submission will be marked on the extent to
\nwhich the requirements of the assessment task have been met. Generally speaking, submissions under
\nthe word limit fall short of the requirements of the assessment task.
\nThe penalty for exceeding the word count will be 5 marks per 1,000 words excess (e.g. a 1,000 word
\nassignment would have 5 marks deducted if it were to be between 1,101 and 2,100 words, 10 marks
\ndeducted for if it were to be between 2,101 and 3,100 words and so on).
