\nWeek 4: Reflection on Learning
\nThis week, I have gained valuable insights into connective leadership styles and their impact on my personal leadership characteristics. I have learned that connective leadership emphasizes collaboration, inclusiveness, and adaptability, which are essential qualities for effective leadership in today’s dynamic healthcare environment. Among the various connective leadership styles, I find that the transformational leadership style resonates most with my personal leadership characteristics. This style focuses on inspiring and motivating team members to achieve their full potential and work towards a shared vision. As a transformational leader, I believe in fostering a supportive and empowering work environment that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth.
\nIn my future role as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), I recognize the importance of using power to influence change and improve patient outcomes. One way I can use power in my NP role is by leveraging my expertise and credibility to advocate for evidence-based practices and policies that promote patient-centered care. Additionally, I can use my interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and other stakeholders, which will enable me to influence decision-making processes and drive positive change within my organization.
