Washington Irving was born on April 3, 1783 in Tarrytown, New York. His<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Sleepy Hollow is the Headless Horsemen. To the people of Tarrytown, the narrative<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

of the Headless Horsemen is that he was a Hessian soldier that had his caput shooting<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

away by a cannon ball. The soldier drives<\/p>\n

about at midnight looking for his caput.<\/p>\n

& # 8220 ; He glided through the dark with a caput upon his horn. & # 8221 ; ( Washington Irving.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

p. 123 ) The supernatural figure in The Devil and Tom Walker is the Devil.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
