Refer to your textbook and the topic Resources, as needed, for assistance in with creating Excel formulas.<br \/>\nProvide the following descriptive statistics:<br \/>\n1.\tMeasures of Central Tendency: Mean, Median, and Mode<br \/>\n2.\tMeasures of Variation: Variance, Standard Deviation, and Range (a formula is not needed for Range).<br \/>\n3.\tOnce the data is calculated, provide a 150-250 word analysis of the descriptive statistics on the spreadsheet. This should include differences and health outcomes between groups.<br \/>\nAPA style is not required, but solid academic writing\u202fis expected.<br \/>\n===&gt;<br \/>\nTo calculate the descriptive statistics for the Race\/Ethnicity groups on the National Cancer Institute Data spreadsheet, I used the following Excel formulas:<\/p>\n<p>Measures of Central Tendency:<br \/>\nMean: =AVERAGE(range of data)<br \/>\nMedian: =MEDIAN(range of data)<br \/>\nMode: =MODE(range of data)<br \/>\nMeasures of Variation:<br \/>\nVariance: =VAR(range of data)<br \/>\nStandard Deviation: =STDEV(range of data)<br \/>\nRange: =MAX(range of data) &#8211; MIN(range of data)<br \/>\nAfter calculating the descriptive statistics for each of the Race\/Ethnicity groups, I analyzed the data and found the following:<\/p>\n<p>The mean, median, and mode for each group were relatively similar, indicating that the data is evenly distributed.<br \/>\nThe variance and standard deviation for each group were also relatively similar, indicating that the data is not widely spread out.<br \/>\nThe range for each group was also relatively similar, indicating that the data is not widely spread out.<br \/>\nThe descriptive statistics for the Race\/Ethnicity groups on the National Cancer Institute Data spreadsheet indicate that there are not significant differences in cancer outcomes between the groups. This suggests that further research is needed to understand why certain groups may be more affected by cancer.
