(40 marks)<\/p>\n<p>Using the lesson plan framework below, develop a play-based experience appropriate for a specified group of children (3-4 years old) that<\/p>\n<p>1. clearly linked to appropriate EYLF outcomes, and<\/p>\n<p>2. is appropriate for the specific nature (socio-cultural context) of the target group of children who will participate in the lesson.<\/p>\n<p>B. (30 marks)<\/p>\n<p>Record a two-minute video of yourself explaining the play-based activity to other educators<\/p>\n<p>Lesson Plan Framework (Task A)<\/p>\n<p>The required structure for this assignment is as follows. Please note, this is not in the format of an essay. Please use the structure below to divide each section.<\/p>\n<p>Word count: Average number of words per section is approximately 300-400 words. All sections do not need to be the same length.<\/p>\n<p>1. Learning Objectives and rationale<\/p>\n<p>a) State the objective of the lesson and how it links to the EYLF<\/p>\n<p>b) Identify the target group of children for this lesson (specify age, special needs, cultural background etc.)<\/p>\n<p>c) Explain how and why this lesson<\/p>\n<p>i) is of value to the target group of children<\/p>\n<p>ii) might connect to future learning<\/p>\n<p>2. Resources &amp; learning environment<\/p>\n<p>Describe the resources needed for the lesson, how they will be used and how the learning environment will be modified to promote achievement of learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>3. Activity<\/p>\n<p>Clearly state the steps, transitions (if any) and timing of the lesson.<\/p>\n<p>4. This outcome is met when children:<br \/>\nRespond to diversity with respect<br \/>\nRecognise their own culture and the cultures of others<br \/>\nDevelop an understanding of fairness, rights and responsibilities<br \/>\nTarget Group: This lesson is designed for children aged 3-4 years old.<br \/>\nValue: This lesson is valuable for children because it helps them to learn about the natural world and the different types of animals that live in it. It also helps them to develop an understanding of diversity and respect for other cultures.<br \/>\nFuture Learning: This lesson can be used to connect to future learning in a number of ways. For example, children could be encouraged to draw pictures of the animals they learn about, or they could be asked to write stories about them. They could also be encouraged to research different types of animals and their habitats.<br \/>\nResources &amp; Learning Environment<\/p>\n<p>Resources: The following resources will be needed for this lesson:<br \/>\nA variety of books about animals that live in the ocean<br \/>\nPictures of animals that live in the ocean<br \/>\nA globe or map of the ocean<br \/>\nA variety of materials for children to create their own ocean animals, such as construction paper, crayons, markers, glitter, etc.<br \/>\nLearning Environment: The learning environment should be set up in a way that encourages children to explore and learn about the different types of animals that live in the ocean. The books and pictures about animals should be displayed in a central location, and the materials for children to create their own ocean animals should be available on a table.<br \/>\nActivity<\/p>\n<p>Introduction: Begin the lesson by introducing the children to the topic of animals that live in the ocean. Read aloud a book about ocean animals, or show the children pictures of ocean animals.<br \/>\nExploration: After the introduction, allow the children to explore the books, pictures, and materials that are available. Encourage them to ask questions and talk about what they are learning.<br \/>\nCreation: After the exploration, allow the children to create their own ocean animals. Provide them with a variety of materials, such as construction paper, crayons, markers, glitter, etc.<br \/>\nSharing: After the children have created their ocean animals, allow them to share them with the group. Talk about the different animals that the children have created and where they live.<br \/>\nAssessment<\/p>\n<p>Observations: Observe the children as they participate in the lesson.
