\nGuidelines
\n\u2022 All work must be submitted on Moodle by the due date
\nalong with a completed Assignment Cover Page.
\n\u2022 Reference sources must be cited in the text of the report,
\nand listed appropriately at the end in a reference list using
\nAPA referencing style.
\nExtension \u2022 Extensions to assignment deadlines (not including
\nexams) based on mitigating circumstances shall be at the
\ndiscretion of the Lecturer for a unit. Mitigating
\ncircumstances are circumstances outside of the student’s
\ncontrol that have had an adverse effect on the student’s
\nwork or ability to work. Extensions of up to three days are
\npermissible.
\n\u2022 Students must email or otherwise write to the Lecturer
\nprior to the due date for an assessment item. The student
\nmust produce a copy of their work to date on the
\nassessment, demonstrating that they have commenced
\nwork.
\nAcademic
\nMisconduct
\n\u2022 Academic misconduct involves cheating, collusion,
\nplagiarism or any other conduct that deliberately or
\ninadvertently claims ownership of an idea or concept
\nwithout acknowledging the source of the information. This
\nincludes any form of activity that negates the academic
\nintegrity of the student or another student and\/or their
\nwork. Please refer 2.6 Academic misconduct \u2013 plagiarism,
\ncollusion and cheating for further details.
\nAssignment Description (Total marks 20+20+20 =60)
\nTest Duration: Week 10, Week 11, Week 12
\nIn this assessment group of 5 students will develop Android Application. In week 5 onwards
\nstudents will submit specifications of application in one page giving brief introduction of
\nApplication. In week 11, students will submit the prototype and in week 12 they will give
\nPPT presentation of their project in the classroom.
\nRATIONALE
\nThis assessment task will assess the following learning outcome\/s:
\nULO 1. Apply web knowledge to the development of mobile applications
\nULO 2. Design user interface for touch screen applications
\nULO 3. Build Software application for mobile use.
\nULO 4. Evaluate a mobile application with respect to usability and accessibility.
\nREQUIREMENTS:
\nPlease make sure you have the following:
\n1. The complete source code of your android app (i.e., the android studio project).
\n2. The final version of your .apk file.
\n3. Write up the process of implementing this design in a word file.
\nSUBMISSION:
\nYou will need to submit all documentation outlined in the requirements for this
\nassessment listed above \u2013 including the word file if you choose to provide this, on or
\nbefore the deadline. Submission of just the APK file will not be accepted
\nREQUIREMENTS:
\nPlease make sure you have the following:
\n1. The complete source code of your android app (i.e., the android studio project).

\nPurpose of the Assessment: This assessment will assess your ability to apply web knowledge to the development of mobile applications, design user interfaces for touch screen applications, build software applications for mobile use, and evaluate a mobile application with respect to usability and accessibility.

In this assessment, you will be working in a group of 5 students to develop an Android application. In week 5, you will submit a one-page document that provides a brief introduction to your application and the team members involved. In week 11, you will submit a prototype of your application. In week 12, you will give a presentation of your project to the class.<\/p>\n
Your application must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
It must be a functional Android application.
\nIt must be designed for touch screen devices.
\nIt must be accessible to users with disabilities.
\nIt must be well-documented.
\nIt must be aesthetically pleasing.

An overview of your application.
\nA demonstration of your application.
\nA discussion of the challenges and solutions you encountered in developing your application.
